Honesty is a behavior that conforms to the values ​​of truth and justice. It can also be understood as the respect for the truth and the rights of others. To be honest is to be sincere, frank, not to have ulterior motives in dealing with other people; not take advantage of the possible weaknesses or situations of inferiority of other individuals.

The quality of honesty it is nourished by the teachings of our elders, which we receive at home from a young age, but also from everyday example: that is why it is essential that society as a whole assumes the importance of honesty as a value.

When we read as news that a taxi driver found a briefcase with money in his car and returned it to its owner, we are participating in an act of honesty, highly commendable and that should be imitated. But the fact that this is news tells us that it is not common; therefore, honesty seems to be more the exception than the norm.
