The monosemic words They are those that have a single meaning, that is, their meaning is only one (the prefix mono- means "one") in any context. For example: dance, garlic, photography.
Polysemic words, on the other hand, are those that can have more than one meaning, depending on the context in which they are used. For example: cure (priest) / cure (healing).
