The prefixmulti-, of Latin origin, means "many" or "numerous". In the Spanish language this prefix is used for the formation of attributive parasynthetics. For example: multicell phone, multifocal.
Other prefixes with similar meanings are poli-, of Greek origin, and pluri-, which means "more than one".
