The juxtaposition It is the resource used to make an enumeration of the same sentence, through the use of the comma. For example: We arrived, we ate, We fall asleep.
What can be enumerated can be part of the subject or the predicate, with a substantial difference in this sense: if the enumeration contains different verbs, it is possible that it is actually juxtaposed sentences, where instead of including different elements in one same sentence, different sentences are coordinated into one.
The way in which juxtaposition performs coordination is what distinguishes it from the other term coordination mechanisms, since no connectors will be used here.
In contrast, the pauses in speech appear orally, and the enumeration ‘comma’ signs appear in written form, not even using the addition connector ‘y’ before the last element. In this way, juxtapositions manage to generate the feeling of adding ideas without the need for a particular connector to make it explicit.
