The point and followed it is the punctuation mark that separates two different sentences within the same paragraph. For example: The boys left early for Beach. The morning was sunny.

The period and followed indicates that one idea ends and another begins. After this punctuation mark, the writing remains on the same line or line. If the period and followed is located just towards the end of the line, the sentence begins in the next one, but without leaving any type of margin or indentation.

The period always indicates the pause that occurs at the end of the sentence. As with most punctuation marks, it is glued to the word in question. The word that follows begins after a space and is always capitalized.

Types of points

Although in sight, they are all equal signs (.), Depending on the location and function of the point, there are two other types of point:

• New paragraph. Separate two different paragraphs, in which different ideas or content are developed. After the full stop, the sentence that follows is written one line lower. When you start a new paragraph, you should leave an indentation or margin to identify it.
• Final point. It is the punctuation mark that closes a text.
