The informational sentences are those that are used to communicate something. In these sentences, the intention of the sender is to express a state of affairs at a certain moment. For example: The current world population is 7.6 billion people.

Although the idea of 'informative' may tend to associate the concept with 'information', that is, with the set of sentences that are of public interest (typical of the media or scientific activity), in reality informative sentences they can present a state of affairs that is only useful for a known sender and receiver, in a given context and circumstances.

Although the core of the sentence must be the enunciation of a state of affairs (in the past, present or future), these sentences can also use verbs or adjectives that reveal the intervention of the speaker beyond the reproduction of an objective situation.

Informational sentences can be affirmative, as long as they affirm and support a statement, or negative, when they are opposed to an idea through negation adverbs.

What cannot appear for it to be a sentence of this type is a word that evidences an attitude of the issuer beyond the narrative intention itself, such as exhorting (trying to get the receiver to do something with that information) or exclaim (emphasize a greater importance with language tools).
