The indicative mood expresses as real the verb that it enunciates. Furthermore, the actions it expresses are always concrete, making it one of the most used in the Spanish language. For example: We arrived in Paris.

The indicative mood states actions that have occurred (past), that occur, while, that will most likely occur (future).

There are three modes:

• Indicative mode. It is used to give information. The verb tenses of the indicative mood are: simple past perfect (ate); conditionalwould eat); Simple future (will eat); composite futurewill have eaten); past imperfectI used to eat); past perfectI had eaten) and present (eat).
• Subjunctive mode. It is used to express hypothetical or possible assumptions, wishes, requests, actions. The tenses of the subjunctive mood are: future (you eat); past imperfectwe would eat) or present (the coma).
• Imperative mode. It is used to give advice, orders or to formulate an order. There are no verb tenses within this mode, and it can only be applied to the second person. For example: eat, eat.

Verb tenses in the indicative mood

• Simple future of the indicative mood. It expresses an action that has not yet occurred, but most likely will happen in the future. For example: Damien will come tomorrow to have a snack at home.
• Future composed of the indicative mood. It expresses a future action prior to another action also future and in relation to the present. It is formed with the auxiliary "have" in the future and a participle. For example: Tomorrow you will It will have been.
• Present of the indicative mood. It expresses an action that is occurring at the same time as it is stated. For example: Luciana this in his house.
• Past imperfect of the indicative mood. It expresses an action that occurred in the past but that spanned time or had a certain continuity. For example: Romina I was strolling your dog every morning.

• Past perfect of the indicative mood. It expresses an action that happened before another, in the past. It is formed with the auxiliary verb "have" in the past tense and a participle. For example: Us we had known two years before.
• Past tense of the indicative mood. It expresses an action that happened immediately before another past event. For example: As soon as had left, celebrated.
• Indicative mood conditional. Express wishes, suggestions, advice or probabilities. For example: If I was at your house, would prepare a soup.
